International Cheese: Mondial du fromage et des produits laitiers a Tours, Loire Valley, France The rendez vous of professionnals

I was very happy to be invited to this important event, the first International fair of fromages and dairy products. It was divided between the makers and sellers of cheeses. There was a jury with a very elaborate cheese screening, tasting, smelling, touching, and so on. Many countries were represented at both levels as makers and purveyors.
I was thrilled to see two American representations of sellers: Steve Jones of Cheese Bar Portland Oregon and Matthew Jeremy Rubiner of Barrington Massachusetts.
I do know the results of the competition. Among the purveyors were these 2 Americans participants along with with Italians, French, a Japanese woman, and an Australian.
The winner of the competition was Miyuki Murase, a woman from the North of Japan.
