Holiday Time with the Family

Grandma Gigi was very happy to spend 4 days surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. We celebrated Christmas Eve with the traditional oysters, boudin blanc, goose confit, assortment of goat cheeses (brought by my mother), and a cake in the form of a Christmas tree. We drank good wine and finished with a glass of champagne.
Christmas day was another Christmas meal with delicious roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The dessert was a cake in the shape of Santa Clause. Children opened many presents. The rule this year was: presents for children, grown-ups share food and wine as presents.
