St. Louis and Chuck Berry

June 22-23- Trip to St. Louis Missouri. I had the pleasure to meet Chuck Berry and to be at the Blueberry Hill Club. He was performing with his daughter who played amazingly the harmonica and his son who backed him up at the guitar. Since I am a Dames Escoffier I contacted Gay DeMichele, a Dame herself, and she took me on a tour of the organic markets. One was the Maplewood Farmers Market near the Schlafly brewery. Maplewood has local goat cheese, beautiful tomatoes, eggplant, local honeys, certified organic local beef, local bread, etc. It was busy with children running around with happy sugary faces. We also went to Winslow Home, a country store style restaurant with local produce, excellent homemade breads, fresh milk, butter, and excellent breakfast with a good aromatic coffee.
